The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Sports Division will host the 2nd Annual Regional 13 & Under Netball Festival from August 15 - 19, 2010 in the town of Portsmouth.
Four teams will participate in this year's festival - Antigua, Anguilla, Dominica A and Dominica B.The opening ceremony of this festival will take place at the Benjamin's Park in Portsmouth from 4:00 pm and the teams will hear brief remarks from the Ministry of Sports and other officials.
Following this ceremony, the first match will take place between Dominica B and Antigua at 5:00 pm and this will be followed by the second match between Dominica A and Anguilla at 6:00 pm.
Thursday 15th July 2010Dominica's team to the Sir Garfield Sobers International School's Cricket Tournament left the state on Monday, July 5, 2010 to participate the International Schools Cricket Festival in Barbados.
This year, Dominica's team is made up mainly of players in the Under 17 age group; the intention is to utilize this tournament as part of a development programme to expose boys at the U-17 level and prepare them for tournaments at the U-19 level. This year's team serves as an experimental one with eleven (11) U-17 players supported by three (3) U-19 players
The Government of Dominica through the Sports Division is spending in excess of EC$50,000.00 to ensure Dominica's participation in this all important schools championship.
The team is coached by former Dominica and Windward Islands Player Mr. Thomas Kentish, who is attached to the Sports Division as a Cricket Coach, and managed by Mr. Edmund Audain, Sports Officer.

The Sports Division and the South East Sports Committee is pleased to announce that teams wishing to participate in the 2010 Sports Division/South East Sports Committee National Rounders League can now register for the League.
Registration can be done at the Sports Division's office on Kennedy Avenue (opposite Jays Bookstore) or team can contact the District Sports Officers or the South East Sports Committee to do so.
Registration should be done by July 10, 2010 and the registration fee is $100.00. The commencement date of the League is July 19, 2010.
