In its quest to better organise sports at the community level, the Sports Division went on drive to develop sports committees at the District level. One such committee is the Southern District Sports Committee and the Division is pleased to be associated with the first organised activity of the Committee.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports recently donated the sum of five thousand dollars (EC$5000.00) to the committee to help with its operations. It is hoped that this football activity will help generate more interest in sports at the district level while creating some form of recreation and greater socialization for the villagers.
