The South West has captured the National Bank of Dominica’s Primary Schools District Football Championship title for the 3rd consecutive year.

The final round of the Sport Division organized championship took place at the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 when the four schools which made it to the semi-finals converged in the quest of gaining the bragging rights of being called the “Top Football District” at the Primary Schools.

The first semi-final match took place between the South West and the North and at the end of regulation time, it was the South West which won that match – 2:1.

The second semi-final match was between East and Valley Central –  the East won 2:1.

A match to determine the 3rd placed team was played between the Valley Central and North Districts and it was the North that came up on top – winning that match convincingly with a score of 4:0.

It was then time for the Grand Final and the two top teams on show were the South West and the East.  After an exciting match, the South West won the encounter – 2:0; walking away with championship trophy for another year in the NBD Primary Schools Football Championship.

This represents the culmination of the Sports Division’s organized 2015 NBD Primary Schools Football Championships which also saw a boy’s championship which was won by the St. Luke’s Primary and a girls’ championship which was won by the San Sauveur Primary.

The National Bank of Dominica sponsored the championship to the tune of EC$15, 000.00 and will hold host a ceremony for all the winners in June 2015.
