Championship Friday

The Sports Division will bring the curtains down on its Secondary Schools U-20 Football Championships and Secondary Schools U-16 & U-20 Netball Championships on Friday, December 11, 2015, which is dubbed “Championship Friday”.

The Secondary Schools U-20 Football Final will feature the two (2) best teams of that division, i.e., defending champions, Goodwill Secondary School and former champions, Dominica State College, in what is expected to be an exciting final to take place at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium from 4:15 pm.

Both teams boast of a number of exciting prospects; some of whom have already gone on to represent Dominica at the age group and senior levels.

Among the players expected to feature are Delroy Parker, Elijah Abraham, Andreas Joseph, Gylles Mitchell and Dehran Auguiste.

Meanwhile the Netball Finals will be held at the Dominica Grammar School School’s grounds with the U-16 Final at 3:00 pm between the Dominica Grammar School and the defending champions, the Portsmouth Secondary School.

This match will be followed by the U-20 Final at 4:00 pm between the Dominica Grammar School and defending U-20 Champion’s – the Portsmouth Secondary School.

Both matches are expected to be keenly contested as both schools have played attractive netball throughout the season and have in their line-up upcoming players who represented Dominica on last year’s U-16 team at the Caribbean Netball Association Regional U-16 Tournament in which  Dominica placed second.
